What to bring:
- At least one piece of your artwork
- A smartphone or digital camera (fully charged) and for Day 2, a laptop or tablet with access to Canva (free accounts are fine)
What you’ll learn:
Day 1: Learn simple ways to photograph your artwork with good light, clear focus, and clean backgrounds. You’ll leave with 2–3 strong images of your work.
Day 2: Import those photos into Canva to design simple, eye-catching social media posts featuring your name and artwork details.

IKEBANA AND YOU with Grazynka Shaarani
Join me, Grazynka Shaarani, for a beginner Ikebana workshop in 2 parts at the Quinte Arts Council.
In the first session: Saturday, May 16th, you will learn about Japanese art flower arrangements, its principles and its basic rules. (See below what to bring)
In the second session, Thursday, May 28 we will dissemble and recompose arrangements used in the exhibition, also participants may like to use their own containers and create an arrangement.
What to bring:
- For the first session, a pair of scissors, 3 flowers with a long stem. Basic containers will be provided.
- For the second session, bring a container of your choice, preferably flat and can hold water.
No experience is necessary.
This workshop is for anybody who is curious about this art form.
